[illegible]. I hope he will like it all right. He must not think so long about being away
from you. Let him get his mind down to
business and he will like it all right.
I remember when I went to business first I felt they same way and longed
to be at home but that feeling gradually wore itself away. I will write him next week. Would have done so last week only that I was
called to New York by the house I am working for. I did not get away as soon as I expected. Intended to remain only a few days.
After getting
through in New York they asked me to call and see some Trade (?) in
Philadelphia, Baltimore and this city.
Will go home to-morrow. The pay
all my expenses this time until I get back home. Otherwise when I’m away I pay all my own expenses getting a Comn
on my sales. Will write you again next
week and send you some money.
In regard to
Richard Burke you will write to the lawyers in Dublin that he is not they right
party. When I was in New York last
August I seen him and had a long talk with him but could not get him to do
anything about the money. Poor fellow
his mind has gone astray he is harmless and does a little work now and
then. I called to see him this time but
could not locate him. He disappeared
about two two months ago and has not been seen since. He has done this several times before. When he shows up again I am going to have him confined in an
asylum. It will not cost me anything
and this poor fellow will be better taken care of. Will write George, Leo & Charles next week without fail.
Wishing you
all a Merry XMas and Happy New Year.
Invoking God’s
Blessing on You All.
Your
Affectionate Brother
Charlie
Give my
kindest regards to Mrs McCullough.
